We are Random Engineering Ltd (Company Number 06393823). If you are a Random Engineering customer this policy sets out how we handle your personal information.

In this document when we say:

  1. *‘we’ 'our' or ‘us’ we are referring to Random Engineering Ltd.

  2. *'websites' or 'site' we are referring to the Random Engineering and Random Aerospace websites

We collect certain personal information about customers, this includes: names, postal addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses, IP addresses, other contact details, payment information, transaction details and tax information.

We collect personal information when you provide it to us in eMails and correspondence or through PayPal transactions as you use the sales websites.

We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to other companies.

  4. -Payment processing services which are located in the US.

Please note that our subcontractors and services providers may also transfer and access such information from other countries in which they have operations.

  2. *Regulators and government authorities in connection with our compliance procedures and obligations.

Where we transfer and store your personal information

We are based in the UK.  Your data will be stored and processed in the UK and the US. Some of the recipients we have described in the section above, and to whom we disclose your personal information, may be based outside the UK.  In order to protect your information, where possible we take care to work with subcontractors and service providers who we believe maintain an acceptable standard of data security compliance.

How we keep your personal information secure

When you make a purchase online you do so using a PayPal secure server.  The secure server software (SSL) encrypts all information you input before it is sent to PayPal.

We store personal information on secure servers that are managed by us and our service providers, and occasionally hard copy files that are kept in a secure location in the UK.

Personal information that we store or transmit is protected by security and access controls, and where appropriate data encryption.

How you can access your personal information

For orders placed by PayPal you can access the personal information that we have access to by logging in to your PayPal account.

You also have the right to make a request to access other personal information we hold about you and to request corrections of any errors in that data. To make an access or correction request, contact our privacy officer using the contact details at the end of this policy.

We reserve the right to charge a reasonable fee or deny a data request request should it deemed to be abusive or trolling.

Use of your personal information for marketing

We don't, we do not:

  1. *profile your personal data.

  2. *send marketing communications by email.

Information about children

If you are under 16 we ask that you do not use our site or give us your personal information, if you want to place an order please ask a parent or guardian to do so on your behalf. 

If you are between 16 and 18 years, you can browse the websites but you’ll need the supervision of a parent or guardian. We consider it the responsibility of parents or guardians to monitor their children’s use of our websites.

How long we keep your personal information

We will retain your personal information for as long as is necessary to provide the goods and services to you, and to comply with our legal obligations. Mostly this will mean keeping your data in order to meet accounting an tax requirements. If you no longer want us to use your personal information, you can request that we erase it.  Please note however that if you request the erasure of your personal information we will retain what is necessary for our legitimate business interests, to comply with the law, prevent fraud, collect fees, resolve disputes, troubleshoot problems, assist with investigations, enforce the terms of service and take other actions permitted by law. The information we retain will be handled in accordance with this Privacy Policy.

Changes to this policy

We will need to change this policy from time to time in order to make sure it stays up to date with the latest legal requirements and any changes to our privacy management practices.

Where required we will notify customers when we change the policy. The latest version of this policy will always be available on the website.
